Art Market: Is It Healthy? Is Art Worth Investing?


  As of writing this, prices are high, or "bonkers" as some would put it (see link below), on contemporary art at auction. Look at the sales in December's Art Basel in Miami Beach or the attention Andy Warhol's work is maintaining - The Real Debate About the Art Market's health Go to Art Market Monitor Article 

My Response: 
  "... art ... something that has no real economic value."  After reading the article linked above I have to say that artists are the spear-heads of culture. The economy often follows culture or what people need and want. We have no idea what the future holds for us on so many levels, and we need creative people who can help navigate things like the economy and business through uncharted times. Here's Sir Ken Robinson to expand on my point further...
